Diane’s Retirement

At our recent AGM, the Ferry Fair Committee took the opportunity to say farewell and thank you to Diane Job – who has been a dedicated Ferry Fair committee member for the last 22 years.

Diane has worked tirelessly over the years, especially supporting the Court, doing everything from helping the children practice for Ferry Fair day to arranging judging of Gardens and Arches and helping organise the children’s races…..and much more besides.

We all wish Diane all the best, and hope she will be able to enjoy her Ferry Fair Day this year, without having to worry about being down on the High Street at 6 am to help decorate the stage.!!

Committee members Diane Hogg and Liz Martin also left the committee at the AGM, so we are still actively looking for volunteers.  Specifically, we are looking for someone to join the committee and serve as our Secretary.  In addition, we are also looking for someone, or a small group of people to spearhead our fundraising efforts.  This could be done either by joining the committee, or by working closely alongside the committee.

If you would like to get involved, please feel free to contact our Chairman, David Steel, to discuss or get more information.  Alternatively, come along to our next committee meeting, scheduled for Tuesday 21st February 2017 at 7 pm in the Rosebery Hall.
